METHOD
How an assessment unfolds
A four-step journey, spread over three to four weeks, designed to respect each child's pace.
1
Initial interview
A first appointment with the parents — and the child, depending on their age — to understand the request, developmental history, and observations from each side. Without the child if the topic is sensitive.
2
Evaluation sessions
Two to three testing sessions of about 1.5 hours each. Calibrated and tandardized tasks, presented in a playful way and adapted to the child's age and energy levels.
3
Analysis & synthesis
Time dedicated to scoring, qualitative analysis, and report writing. Cross-referencing data with developmental history and school observations.
4
Feedback session
A dedicated session for verbal feedback, first with the parents and then with the child. A written report is shared, along with concrete recommendations and referrals if needed.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions about neuropsychological assessments and consultation.
What is a neuropsychological assessment?
It is a comprehensive evaluation of cognitive functions such as memory, attention, executive functions, language, and reasoning. It helps understand how an individual's brain functions in order to explain learning, behavioral, or emotional difficulties.
When should I consider an assessment?
A consultation is recommended if you or your child experience persistent school or work difficulties, attention issues, memory lapses, lack of organization, or sudden changes in emotional regulation and behavior.
How long does the evaluation process take?
The process typically includes an initial intake interview (1 hour), the testing sessions (2 to 4 hours, depending on the profile), and a feedback meeting (1 hour) where a detailed written report is provided.
Do I need a doctor's referral to book an appointment?
No, a medical prescription is not mandatory to schedule an assessment. You can book a consultation directly. However, referrals from teachers, pediatricians, or speech therapists are always welcome to help guide the evaluation.
What are the fees and are they covered by insurance?
Fees vary depending on the complexity and type of assessment required. While basic health insurance typically does not cover private neuropsychological fees, many complementary insurance plans offer partial or full reimbursement. Feel free to ask for a quote.
